The raw truth of poetry and the images of transformed bodies disrupt and challenge our beliefs. The body becomes a cosmos in which image and text navigate. Mysterious, wild, clair-obscur, and playful, the dialogue between the two arts pays homage to the many forms of love and invites us to transcend the limits of thought.
Gouter la Braise is a exhibition that combines surrealist artworks and mystical texts.The artistic approaches of writer Louise Bellamy and visual artist Sophie Vanhomwegen fuse as if created simultaneously. By giving rise to new narratives, both art forms converge in a sensual and erotic realm, offering an introspective glimpse into femininity.
On the occasion of the release of Louise Bellamy’s publication Gouter la Braise, Espace Vanhomwegen hosted an evening with live performances dedicated to feminine eroticism.
